The Simpsons remain the powerhouse retailing brand for both Australian boys and girls, according to BrandTrends latest research survey.
Both girls and boys 10-14 years and 15-19 years voted The Simpsons the most popular brand, along with 5-9 year old boys. Only 5-9 year old girls preferred Finding Nemo instead.
The other top favourites with junior females were Bratz, Lizzy McGuire and the Saddle Club . With Yu-Gi-Oh and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in second and third place with younger males.
For girls 10-14 years, television soapie Home and Away improved in popularity and now ranks second, followed by local sensation, Delta Goodrem . Boys in the same age slot chose Lord of the Rings and The Matrix as second and third options.
